Surveillance Pics Show Suspect Wanted For UNCC Sexual Assault

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD has released surveillance images of the man they say sexually assaulted at least one woman at UNC Charlotte Sunday.

The suspect is accused of sexually assaulting a 40-year-old woman in the parking garage of the University Crossing apartment complex around 4pm. The victim told police that he pushed her against a wall and “forcibly fondled” her before running away.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 20-years-old, around 5’9″, with a thin build and medium complexion.

A similar incident was also reported around 8am in the University’s Greek Village on Darryl McCall Circle. Police say a 20-year-old woman was assaulted in a similar manner by a suspect with a similar description.

CMPD and UNCC Police are investigating both incidents, but have not yet confirmed if they are related.
