Matthews Police Arrest Two Teens Charged With More Than 40 Crimes

MATTHEWS, NC — Police have arrested two teens they say were wanted on 42 criminal charges.

Christopher Keith Thompson Jr., 18, and Sawyer Baldner, 19, are currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail. According to officials, the crimes began in 2017 and were committed throughout the area over the course of two months.

Each teen is charged with six counts of Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle, two counts Felony Larceny, four counts Larceny of Motor Vehicle, five counts Conspiracy to Commit Felony Larceny, Burglary, and three counts Misdemeanor Larceny.
