Charlotte Youth Rally For Change After Recent Florida School Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council gathered at the government center this afternoon to discuss what can be done in response to the Florida school shooting.

The group of student leaders from different high schools says more action needs to be taken when it comes to gun control and mental illness.

The students also say it’s important to continue the conversation on gun control until lawmakers can come up with a fix.
