CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cinemark Theatres announced a new policy that bans large bags in their theaters.
The company says the ban will begin Thursday, February 22nd. The company is banning large bags, “in an effort to enhance the safety and security of our guest and employees.”
Bags or packages measuring more than 12 inches x 12 inches x 6 inches will not be allowed into the theaters.
The only exception to the rule will be for medical bags or diaper bags. The company says staff will have the right to inspect all bags and packages upon entry into their theaters.
