INDIAN LAND, SC — Deputies arrested three suspects and seized a large amount of drugs, weapons, and cash last week while responding to a home for an unrelated matter.

Jermarcus Coffey, 28, Toni Napier, 21, and Charles Rice IV, 27, were arrested after deputies reportedly smelled marijuana while responding to a home on Jamestowne Road Tuesday.

Coffey and Napier were inside the home when deputies arrived. Investigators say they executed a search warrant and found roughly 5.3 grams of suspected heroin, 62 possible oxycodone pills, 7.1 grams of suspected marijuana, more than $8,600 in cash, two .40 caliber pistols, one 9mm pistol, two 7.62 x 9mm pistols, an AR 15 style rifle, an AR 15 style pistol, a .38 caliber derringer, several magazines, and multiple rounds of ammunition. Another 17 grams of suspected marijuana and roughly $5,000 was also found in a vehicle outside.

They’re both charged with Trafficking Heroin 4-14 Grams, Trafficking Oxycodone 4-14 Grams, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime (Drug Trafficking). Coffey was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest.

Deputies say they found Rice outside the home with a loaded syringe that contained possible heroin and methamphetamine. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Meth.

The Lancaster County Sheriff says the bust resulted from deputies responding to a shots fired call Monday night. No one was injured during that incident.
