IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Officials are investigating a deadly crash Friday night near the Iredell and Mecklenburg County line.
The accident happened at Mecklenburg Highway and Dunmurry Road. Officials say one person was killed and another has been taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Drivers should avoid the area of Mecklenburg Highway between Presbyterian Road and Beaty Street while crews are on scene.
There have been no details released on what caused the accident. The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
