UPDATE: A juvenile has been arrested in connection to threats made against Southwest Middle School on social media.
CMS and law enforcement are expected to pursue maximum punishment under criminal law and the student code of conduct.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD is looking into several threats against local schools; however, the department is not being specific about which ones.
Parents on the app ‘Next Door’ claim that they have seen threats against Community House Middle and Kennedy Middle.
A threat against Southwest Middle School, in Steele Creek, was also discovered by the WCCB team. The poster behind that vulgar message claims to be suicidal and wants others to die as well. Extra is being provided at that school just as a precaution.
Already, there have been several students arrested in the Charlotte area for making threats against local schools.
