Raleigh Police Poaching for Recruits as CMPD Falls Short 150

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD is short 150 officers, while the city of Raleigh is poaching potential recruits.

The Department is holding recruitment session Friday at the Westin Hotel. This comes as CMPD is struggling to keep some of its own officers who are demanding pay raises.

City Council is considering 15% increase across the board and better benefits to keep officers around longer.
