Audrey Calzada was flown to CMC for treatment after a crash on SC-324 at Mockingbird Lane around 7:45am. The York County Coroner’s Office says Calzada was pronounced dead from her injuries around 1:20pm Tuesday. Officials say that information was provided by the Charlotte Medical Examiner’s Office.

Troopers say Calzada was riding passenger in a 2003 Toyota sedan being driven by a 16-year-old juvenile when the crash occurred. According to reports, the juvenile driver lost control on the right side of the road, hit a culvert, and went into the oncoming lane.

The car was hit in the passenger side by a Chevrolet pickup driven by 49-year-old Brian Carter.

Neither Carter nor the juvenile was injured in the accident. SCHP is investigating, but so far no charges have been filed.
