Couch Chat: No More Guns On Bumble
The Gun Show is over for Bumble. The app is joining the list of companies that are distancing themselves from guns. Dating app, Bumble is banning people from using guns on their profile pictures.
Knives are also included. Exceptions can be made for users in law enforcement and the military. You can appeal, if you’re a hunter or competitive shooter.
Bumble released a statement saying, “As mass shootings continue to devastate communities across the country.. it’s time to state unequivocally that gun violence is not in line with out values, nor do these weapons belong on Bumble.”
Critics are quick to say, guns are not illegal and the point of a dating app is for you to decide what you want. Is this an over-reaction?
