Tree Crashes Down In Myers Park

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Crews are working to clean up a massive tree that fell in Myers Park.

The tree is completely blocking Radcliffe Avenue near Selwyn Avenue.  The tree fell around noon.  Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes at this time.

Crews hope to have the tree removed by 4:45pm.  Power crews say approximately 1,000 homes are without power due to the tree taking down power lines.
