Man Wanted For August 2017 Murder In Salisbury Taken Into Custody

Police say they arrested Xavier Lowe for the murder of Kornell Cook. Lowe has been on the run since August 2017. Investigators say he was taken into custody in Davie County. Lowe is accused of shooting and killing Cook in Salisbury.
Elija-wn Unique Oglesby is also facing murder charges in the case.

SALISBURY, N.C. — Police are now looking for a second suspect in the murder of Kornell Cook after one turned himself in Monday.
Officials say they are looking for 17-year-old Xavier Lowe in connection to the shooting death of Cook Sunday night. Police have warrants charging Lowe with Murder and Discharging a Weapon into an Occupied Dwelling.
Elija-wn Unique Oglesby, 18, of Salisbury turned himself in Monday evening, and was also charged with the Murder of Kornell Cook and Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property.
Cook was shot outside a family member’s residence Sunday night around 8:35 p.m. at 642 Williams Rd.
Oglesby has been placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under no bond. He is scheduled to make his first appearance Thursday.
