CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Stanly County students plan to protest Thursday, after they say their constitutional rights were violated.

Parents say West Stanly High School, along with other schools in the county, went into lock-down Wednesday in order to prevent participation in the nation-wide demonstrations.

Students are alleged to have bee threatened with arrest is they participated as well.

Some parents were already upset because nobody in the county consulted them before arming volunteer resource officers.
