CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged two juveniles with communicating bomb threats against Hawthorne Academy early Wednesday morning.
According to police, the School Resource Officer received a tip about the threats around 9pm. The suspects, two males ages 14 and 15-years-old, were searched and questioned by the SRO and CMS staff, officials say, but no weapons or devices were found.
Both teens have been charged with one count each of Communicating Threats, and released to the custody of their parents.
