Unseasonably Warm Start to Week. Rain Moves in Wednesday.

Warm weather kicks off the week with Monday and Tuesday topping out near 80°. Charlotte stays dry during that stretch, but the mountains and foothills see a chance for a few showers and possibly a thunderstorm or two, although not severe. A cold front approaches Tuesday night and passes Wednesday morning. It brings rain and thunderstorm chances area wide. Temps dip to the 60s to low 70s Wednesday through the weekend. Our next chance of rain arrives next Saturday.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 54°.
