CMPD Charges 3 Suspects In Connection To S. Charlotte Stolen Vehicle & Home Break-In

CHARLOTTE, NC — Three suspects are facing multiple charges after police say they broke into a home and then stole a car from an apartment complex Tuesday.

Demarco Threatt, 19, Nico Ekenedo, 17, and Tydarereous Graham, 16, have been charged in connection to two separate cases in south Charlotte.

Police say a man reported his 2014 Toyota Corolla stolen at the Edgehill Apartments on S. Edgehill Road around 9am. Around 5:50pm, police found the vehicle on South Boulevard with four occupants inside and conducted a traffic stop on W. 11th Street.

Threatt was in possession of a gun at the time of the traffic stop, according to reports, and a search of the vehicle found additional stolen property from another vehicle and home break-in that was reported on Fernhill Drive.

Threatt and Graham were both charged with Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, and Larceny.

Threatt was additionally charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

Ekenedo was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

CMPD says the fourth person in the car was released without charges.
