Police Release Video Of Officer Involved Shooting Of Man Holding Pregnant Woman Hostage

CMPD has released the body-cam footage of an officer involved shooting involving a man accused of holding a pregnant woman hostage in northwest Charlotte.
The incident happened on Holly Street just after 10pm on September 25th. Jonathan Autry is accused of breaking into the home and then taking a woman inside hostage.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A man shot by police while holding a pregnant woman hostage in northwest Charlotte is now out of the hospital and in jail.
24-year-old Johnathan Autry is charged with Burglary, Kidnapping, and Assault on a Female. He is accused of holding the pregnant woman at gunpoint and demanding money.

The incident happened on September 25th in the backyard of a home on Holly Street. CMPD says officers ordered Autry to drop his gun multiple time, and when the woman was finally able to run they fired at him.
