Lots of Sunshine Until Cold Front Brings Saturday Rain.

Big story for tonight is the cold weather and the wind in the mountains. A Wind Advisory stays active through 8 am Thursday for the Mountains and northern edge of the Foothills. Winds blow at 20-30mph, gusting up to 55mph. That sends wind chills into the teens for Thursday morning’s commute. Lows in the Piedmont drop to the mid 30s.

Thursday afternoon ends up pretty nice, however. Sunny skies warm highs into the mid 60s. A cold front Saturday brings more rain to the entire region, plus the mountains could see a little snow. Temps in Charlotte top out in the 50s Sunday and Monday. Another round of rain hits Monday as well.
