Three Arrested After Drugs, Guns Found In Lancaster Residence
LANCASTER, S.C. — Three people have been arrested after the search of a Lancaster residence resulted in the discovery of a large quantity of illegal drugs and multiple firearms.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office say on March 30th, 2018, a search warrant was issued at the home of 26-year-old Leonard King Jr., where King, Brandon Lee Payne, 34, and Megan Melissa Woodward, 27, were present.
Agents with the Drug Task Force, criminal investigators, and the SWAT unite went to King’s home in Fork Hill Road and upon entering observed substances believed to be illegal drugs, paraphernalia, items used to manufacture and distribute drugs, along with multiple firearms in the open.
Approximately 106.1 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 12.6 grams of suspected heroin, 1.8 grams of suspected cocaine, 168.8 grams of suspected marijuana, 33 Hydrocodone pills, and 66 Alprazolam pills of various strengths were seized.
Also seized were three handguns, two semi-automatic rifles, two shotguns, a pistol that had been converted into a semi-automatic rifle and $1,998.00 in cash.
King, Payne, and Woodward were each charged with Trafficking Crack Cocaine 100-200 Grams, Trafficking Heroin 4-14 Grams, Trafficking Hydrocodone 4-14 Grams, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, three counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Alprazolam, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
King is also charged with Possession of a Pistol by a Person Convicted of a Crime of Violence, and Payne is also charged with Possession of Suboxone.
All three were denied bond last Friday afternoon.
Sheriff Barry Faile said, “Our Drug Task Force is out there every day watching, listening, and building cases like this. Their efforts have resulted in the disruption of several major drug operations over the last few weeks, and we intend to keep at it.”
