Three People Charged After Drugs Found On Migos Tour Bus In Boone

BOONE, N.C. — Three people were charged after Boone police discovered nearly a pound of marijuana and other drugs on the Migos tour vehicle Thursday night.

Authorities say officers working security smelled an “obvious” odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle after Migos performed at the Holmes Convocation Center on the campus of Appalachian State University.

None of the members of Migos were charged.

Jharon Murphy, 26, was charged with felony Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell or Deliver and misdemeanor Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Substance.

Daryl McPherson, 25, and Dominic Spigner, 26, were charged with misdemeanors for possession of marijuana, codeine, and Xanax.

Police say 420 grams of marijuana, 26 ounces of codeine and unspecified amount of Xanax were seized.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible pending results from the State Bureau of Investigations Laboratory.
