Rehab Addict host Nicole Curtis is clapping back at people who criticized her choice to keep breastfeeding her son.
The boy turns three next month.
Curtis wrote about it in an Instagram post last week.
She says she’s getting bashed after a People Magazine profile from March.
Curtis practices what’s called baby-led weaning.
That’s when a mom continues to breast feed, but encourages her child to feed itself appropriate finger foods, rather than pureed baby food.
Curtis has been in a heated custody battle with her son’s father for several years.
It started when the baby was just 6-months-old.
Curtis planned to raise the boy as a single mother, but the child’s father fought for and was awarded visitation.
So Curtis had to send her son to stay with his father two days a week, which posed a problem because the baby was exclusively breastfed.
Curtis’ ex initially accused Curtis of breastfeeding to keep him from seeing his son, but Curtis says that’s not the case.
