Novant Health And Huntersville Police Train Citizens On What To Do In Active Shooter Scenarios

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — People in Huntersville are better prepared for a tragic and scary event after taking part in Novant Health’s ‘Stop The Bleed’ training Saturday afternoon.

Citizens spent part of the day learning what to do in an active shooting scenario. Huntersville Police and nurses from Novant Health held the training.

Police taught people what to do if a shooter came into their workplace, school or office, while Novant nurses focused on ways to help the injured, and stop traumatic bleeding.

Police also held an active shooter training event Saturday in Tega Cay, South Carolina.
