GASTONIA, NC — A Gaston County woman was transported with life threatening injuries after being rescued from her burning home Wednesday afternoon.

Gastonia Fire officials say the woman was found inside her bedroom on Weir Lane after neighbors reported the house on fire, and the possibility of her being trapped inside.
She was quickly rescued from the home and transported to Gaston Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Investigators still have not determined what sparked the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
