York County Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested In Gaston County

GASTON COUNTY, NC — Deputies have arrested the suspect in a Gaston County manhunt after more than four hours of searching.

Law enforcement officials in Gaston County, along with the York County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Robert Beverly Wednesday. Officials searched the Cedar Grove neighborhood around Montana Drive for several hours where Beverly had last been seen on foot.

Beverly was wanted in connection to a shooting around 2am on Bowling Green Drive in Clover, SC. He faces multiple charges including Attempted Murder.

Officials say Beverly will have to go through an extradition process before he can be brought back to York County. There is no word yet on when that will take place.
