CHARLOTTE, NC — Summer is right around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about how your going to keep your kids happy and engaged.
We are highlighting a few summer camps happening around Charlotte to cater to your kids taste.
- Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center– offers several classes in musical theater, acrobatics and cirque. Accepts ages 6-11. No experience needed!
- Junior Farm Camp – kids ages 6 through 8 can participate in games and mock farm chores while learning about agriculture and its importance throughout history. The only camp dates still available are June 18-21.
- Hornets Hoops Camps– camp features drills, competitive game, contests, special guest speakers and exclusive Hornets gear. It’s offered 4 days a week for kids between 7 and 14.
- CPCC Summer Experience– offers a wide variety of options for Elementary, Middle and High School students. Kids can learn about STEM, art, cooking, baking, theater and drones.
- U.S. National Whitewater Center – offers a unique approach to engaging your kids in the active, outdoor lifestyle. Campers enjoy whitewater rafting on the world’s largest man-made whitewater river, ropes courses, zip lining, mountain biking, and more. For ages 8-18.
- JazzArts Music Camp – for students in grades 7-12 will be held June 11-16. Instruction by leading professional jazz educators. Scholarships available.
- Revolutionary War Soldier Camp – Boys and girls ages 8-12 can relive the American Revolution as a Patriot or Loyalist, during a fun filled week of drills, battles, colonial life, and much more! June 11-14 (9am-3pm) each day.
- Camp Thunderbird – Co-ed overnight resident camp for kids ages 6 through 16. This is at Lake Wylie in South Carolina. Campers will have fun outdoors and participate in activities that promote personal growth and character development.
- Providence Equestrian Center – Each camp day provides a horse riding lesson and lessons in horsemanship. Camp activities also include crafts and scavenger hunts. At week’s end, the campers learn how to prepare for a horse show and are able to demonstrate what they learned. Ages 5 ½-14, Monday-Friday 9 AM- 1PM
No experience is necessary.
