SALISBURY, N.C. — Police have charged a 23-year-old woman with murder after a man was found shot to death in the road Tuesday morning.
Police have charged Doreen Richardson with the 1st Degree Murder of 21-year-old Quavist Phillips. Police say Phillips’ body was found in the middle of Ackert Avenue around 11:12am.
Witness statements led to investigators identifying Richardson as a suspect in the case. Detectives say she was brought in for questioning by family members, and charged immediately after.
Richardson has been placed under no bond.
