MATTHEWS, NC — Fuzzy’s Taco Shop brings unique and flavorful Baja-style food to North Carolina with the grand opening of their new store on Matthews Township Parkway.
The new location in the Sycamore Commons Shopping Center is the first Fuzzy’s to open in the Tar Heel state. The taco shop officially opened their doors Thursday morning, and say a portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Generosity Feeds.
Customers will feel right at home with the restaurant’s cool and laid-back atmosphere, which features eclectic and vibrant decor along with a full bar.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop serves up signature Baja Tacos, served on a choice of a soft or crispy shell, and consisting of the diner’s choice of protein including chicken, brisket, ground beef, pork, veggies, grilled or tempura fish, grilled or tempura shrimp, fajita chicken, or fajita beef, and topped with garlic sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, cilantro and feta.
Diners can also choose from burrito bowls, jumbo burritos, salads, nachos, and quesadillas, as well as more traditional Mexican dinners like enchiladas, fajita or combo plates, also customizable with choice of protein.
Breakfast is also served all day long, and offers a robust selection that includes breakfast tacos and jumbo burritos (guests can choose from eggs, bacon, cheese, potatoes, chorizo and shrimp) as well as the brand’s “breakfast favorites”, including huevos rancheros, migas, chilaquiles, and the breakfast taco plate (all served with Latin-fried potatoes and refried beans).
Entrees are complimented by starters, including chips paired with queso, jalapeño bottle caps, fire-roasted salsa, or guacamole, and essential sides such as black or Borracho beans with pico de gallo, mix-mex fried rice, cilantro-lime rice, Latin-fried potatoes, and refried beans. Delicious desserts are the perfect way to complete any meal at Fuzzy’s, and beverage service showcases soft drinks, tea, beer, and signature margaritas.
Fuzzy’s didn’t forget about their younger diners either. A menu featuring entrees children will love is also available, including a taco plate, nachos, cheeseburger quesadilla and chicken sticks, with carrots and ranch dressing offered as a side.
