One Shot Outside Eastridge Mall In Gastonia

GASTONIA, NC — Police are investigating after one person was shot outside Eastridge Mall Thursday afternoon.

The shooting happened just before 5pm in the parking lot outside of Belk. Officials say one person was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center in a personal vehicle, and could not give specifics on their condition.

Investigators say, based on witness accounts, they do not believe the shooting was random and it did not have any connection to the mall.
