CHARLOTTE, NC — There’s still plenty of time to sign up for the 22nd Annual AIDS WALK Charlotte taking place May 12th in Uptown.
AIDS WALK Charlotte is one of the largest HIV awareness and fundraising events in the Carolinas. The walk serves as a visual representation of the city’s commitment to help and care for those living with and at risk for HIV.
Organizers say all funds raised through the event will stay in the Charlotte community, and will benefit the programs and services provided by RAIN to youth, adults, and seniors affected by the devastating disease.
The 1.8 mile walk will take place at the Well’s Fargo Atrium and Plaza located at 301 S. Tryon Street. It takes about 30 minutes for the average person to complete, and will feature a morning kick-off program and closing celebration following the walk.
