Woman Accused of Sending 65,000 Text Messages After First Date
A woman in Arizona is explaining why she sent a man 65,000 text messages.
She says she was in love with him.
He says they only went on one date.
Police arrested Jacqueline Ades on Tuesday for suspicion of stalking and harassment.
She agreed to do a press conference from jail and when asked whether she recognized that sending thousands of text messages seemed threatening, the woman said that love is “not perfect”.
“I felt like I met my soulmate,” Ades said. “I thought we would just do what everybody else did and we would just get married and everything would be fine, but that’s not what happened.”
Court documents show Ades would send the man around 500 texts a day.
