Suspect Accused In East Charlotte Robbery Now Facing 14 More Charges

Detectives say they have charged Deeshun Dade in several additional robberies. Information and evidence gathered during the course of the investigation led detectives to issuing 14 more warrants for Dade’s arrest, according to a news release.
Dade has been charged with an additional three counts of felony possession of stolen goods, two counts of larceny of motor vehicle, two counts of hit and run, robbery with a dangerous weapon, common law robbery, assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon, fail to heed emergency lights and sirens, no operator’s license and operate a motor vehicle while fleeing law enforcement.

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged three suspects in connection to a common law robbery that happened Monday night.
Police say the victim was with the suspects around 8:51pm on Independence Boulevard when they began to assault him. The suspects took the victim’s phone, according to reports, and took off.
CMPD initially identified William Mitchell, 16, and Deeshun Dade, 16, as the primary suspects. Later, they learned a third suspect, identified as Durell Smith, 16, had recorded the assault on a cell phone.
All three suspects were located and arrested.
Detectives say further investigation into the suspects showed that Dade was also the suspect in a vehicle theft that happened on April 30th on Florence Avenue.
Mitchell is charged with Common Law Robbery and Felony Conspiracy. Dade has been charged with Common Law Robbery, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and Misdemeanor Larceny. Smith is charged with Felony Conspiracy.
Police say they’re reviewing similar cases and additional charges may be filed.
