CATAWBA COUNTY, NC — A 27-year-old man from Adelanto, California has been charged with soliciting sex from minors across the country, including one in Catawba County.
Officials say the arrest came after several weeks of investigation into a parent’s claim that their child had been solicited online by Juan Beltran. Catawba County investigators say they were able to track his online activity to a physical address in San Bernadino County, where he was arrested and charged.
Detectives say they have also identified several victim’s in other states, and are working to notify those jurisdictions.
Beltran is currently charged with one Felony count of Possession of Child Pornography and one Felony county of Contacting a Minor with Intent to Commit Sex Acts.
The investigation is ongoing.
