Two Charged After Convenience Store Shootings In Gastonia Kill One, Injure Two Others
GASTONIA, N.C. — Police in Gastonia have arrested two men after shootings at two convenience stores killed one person and seriously injured two others Saturday night.
Alontae Cousar, 21, and Andre Isaac, 27, have been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. Cousar was also charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Attempted First Degree Murder.
The Gastonia Police Department says on Saturday at 9:53 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the Gary Franklin Express located at 1007 E. Franklin Boulevard, where one of the suspects shot the clerk several times.
The clerk was taken to CaroMont Health Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
At about 11:17 p.m., the same suspect shot two people inside the Zula Express located at 1402 E. Ozark Avenue.
Police say one of the victims died and the other victim was transported to CaroMont Health Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
The case is still under investigation.
