MORGANTON, NC — The Greenlee Ford Access at the Catawba River Greenway is closed until further notice due to flooding.

The parking lot, near Judge’s Riverside Restaurant, is underwater and inaccessible. Motorists and pedestrians should not attempt to access this part of the greenway until waters recede.

Additionally, the wooden bridge that goes under N.C. 181 on the Greenway, east of the River Village shopping complex and west of Catawba Meadows Park, is underwater and should be avoided.

Some areas of the Greenway may still be accessible, but citizens should exercise caution walking, running or biking on the Greenway while the levels of the Catawba River remain high.
