Amélie’s Launches New Summer Menu Items To Help You Beat The Heat
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As the weather is getting warmer, Amélie’s French Bakery and Café releases their summer menu on June 1st, offering refreshing new options to help you cool down. With over 25 originally crafted pastries, savory bites, and beverages available, hungry customers will enjoy tropical flavors, like coconut and key lime, as inspired by the beaches along the French Riviera.
One of their most popular menu items, those colorful French Macarons, will take on more variety as new flavors will be infused with real fruit filling, including strawberry passion fruit and blackberry basil. Other pastries, like the Coconut Pineapple Danish, will also be available to satisfy your sweet tooth. If savory is more your style, try the Prosciutto, Brie + Blueberry Balsamic Tartine, as featured on the summery menu. To finish off your meal, Amélie’s offers multiple new beverage options, such as the Key Lime French Soda or the Coconut Lavender Café Crème, served hot or iced, perfect to fight the summer heat.
With much excitement, Amélie’s also plans to launch two never-before-seen summer menu items: Mimosas to Share and Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches. With a group of two or four, you and a few friends can enjoy the refreshing taste of mimosas, served with sparkling wine and freshly squeezed orange juice, with the added twist of fresh fruit purée.
The new Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches, offered in either Lavender Lemon or Salted Caramel Brownie flavors, will provide “folks a way to beat the summer heat with a French twist on a classic treat,” said Mary Jayne Wilson, Amélie’s Executive Chef. Wilson has dedicated years of hard work to perfecting the recipe and finding the key to constructing these sweet treats.
The summer menu, including the Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches, can be enjoyed at all six Amélie’s locations in Charlotte, N.C. (NoDa, Uptown, Carmel Commons, Park Road); Atlanta, G.A.; and Rock Hill, S.C. Amélie’s original location at NoDa is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year, while hours at other locations vary. Visit ameliesfrenchbakery.com for more details regarding hours by location.
The Amélie’s team prepares close to a million French macarons, as well as the classic macaroons made with shredded coconut, a year. Check out the video in the link below to find out the difference between these two sweet treats.
