What’s Next For Samantha Bee?

State Farm and Autotrader say they will no longer run ads during Samantha Bee’s show on TBS. The cable network says it was a mistake to air the comments Bee made during Wednesday night’s ‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.’ But there appears to be no plan to punish the show’s host.

During a segment focused on immigrant families being separated, Bee showed a picture Ivanka Trump tweeted Sunday. The picture showed the first daughter hugging her son. Bee then called out Ivanka for not speaking out about her father’s policies and used a four-letter word many women find highly offensive.

“Let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices, you feckless c**t. He listens to you,” Bee said.

Bee tweeted an apology Thursday afternoon: “I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night. It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”

Bee’s bad language aired just days after ABC canceled Roseanne Barr’s hit sitcom ‘Roseanne’ for a racist tweet Barr wrote comparing former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape. Barr’s supporters say there’s a double standard that is letting Bee off the hook.
