Police in Salisbury have identified the bank robbery suspect who was shot and killed by an officer following a vehicle pursuit on Thursday.
Jerick Raheem Gray, 42, of High Point, North Carolina died at the hospital Thursday evening, according to police.
A second person identified as a female passenger, is being treated for an unrelated medical condition and is considered to be a possible accomplice in the bank robbery.
The officer who fired the fatal shot has been identified as Christopher Schenk. Schenk is a ten-year veteran with the Salisbury Police Department and has been a police officer since 1991.
The victim who was stabbed by the suspect in Thomasville, North Carolina following the vehicle pursuit is still being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The case is still under investigation by multiple agencies including the State Bureau of Investigations.

SALISBURY, NC — A suspect accused of robbing a First National Bank Thursday afternoon was shot after leading officers on a multi-jurisdictional pursuit.
The robbery happened around 12:36pm at the bank on E. Innes Street. Police say they chased the suspect vehicle until it came to a stop on Mendenhall Street in Thomasville.
Officers say the driver ran from the vehicle and stabbed a citizen multiple times while trying to enter Anderson RC Hobby Shop.
Police say the suspect refused to drop the knife and was shot after tasers deployed by multiple officers proved ineffective. The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The identity has not yet been released.
Officials say a second suspect was also taken to the hospital for an unrelated medical issue.
The investigation is ongoing.
