CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. –A Catawba County man is facing charges after deputies say he shot his wife during a domestic dispute.
According to Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting in the 1900 block of Mt. Olive Church Road on Thursday night.
Deputies discovered a 62-year-old female victim who had been shot by her husband, Mikeal Caldwell during an argument.
The female victim was taken to Baptist Hospital and is in stable condition.
Caldwell will be charged following his release from a local hospital.
The case is still under investigation.
