Police Charge Second Suspect In 2017 West Charlotte Murder

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have now charged two suspects with the December 2017 murder of 39-year-old Antwain Maurice Price in west Charlotte.

CMPD says 24-year-old Bria Robinson turned herself in Monday morning. She was charged with Murder after being interviewed by detectives.

On May 5th, 33-year-old Joseph Abercrombie was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida after being on the run from authorities for over a month. Police identified Abercrombie as a suspect on April 3, and believed he was hiding out with Robinson somewhere in North or South Carolina.

Abercrombie was returned to Mecklenburg County on May 17th and charged with Murder, two counts of Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Identity Theft, Probation Violation, Felony Conspiracy, Possession of Stolen Goods/Property, Conspire to Obtain Property by False Pretense, Obtain Property by False Pretense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance.

On the night of December 14, 2017, officials say they received reports of shots being fired at a home on Thomasboro Drive. When officers arrived, they found Price dead from gunshot wounds.
