CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A deadly wrecked closed all southbound lanes of the I-485 inner loop for several hours on Wednesday.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. on I-485 inner past University City Boulevard. A minivan was completely destroyed in the wreck.
All lanes have since been cleared. The road has reopened at Exit 33 (NC-49, University Blvd). Traffic is now flowing normally.
State troopers are investigating the incident and what led up to the crash.
