Man Found Inside Wall Of Flea Market In Clover Identified

CLOVER, S.C. —  The Clover Police Department and the York County Coroner’s Office are investigating after a body of a man was found inside the wall of a flea market in Clover on Wednesday.

Officials were called to the scene just before 8:30 a.m. after someone reported a strong, foul odor at the Clover Open Air Flea Market at 405 Kings Mountain Street.

After a brief investigation of the area, a body was discovered inside the wall of the business. The York County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 33-year-old William “Eddie” Powers who was found by the business owner who called police. There is no foul play suspect in the death at this time, according to the coroner.

Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
