Bears are walking around a mobile home park in Sonora, C.A. as if they own the place.
You can find all kinds of bear sculptures and wooden bear figures. This neighborhood loves bears, but didn’t expect to see actual bears.
Brenda Grilli captured video of a mama bear and her cub just wandering through the Green Belt behind her home.
She says the bears did not seem aggressive at all. Grilli says she could hear them getting into a bird feeder in her neighbor’s yard.
“This is the first time I’ve ever seen something like this, I’ve been here since 2001. I’ve seen everything but this,” Rob Snyder said. Snyder also observed the bears walking around the Star Mobile Estates.
The Tuolomne County Sheriff’s Department and a Fish and Wildlife representative shooed the bears back into the wild.
The mobile home park residents do say the experience of encountering bears up close and personal was once-in-a-lifetime, but they are hoping it doesn’t happen again!
“Once was enough,” Snyder said.
