Police Looking For Suspect Involved In East Charlotte Shooting On June 8th

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are trying to identify the suspect they say fired into another vehicle while traveling down Shamrock Drive.

The shooting happened just after 7:30 p.m. on June 8th. Police say the suspect and victim, Luis Hernadez-Sesate, were driving slowly side-by-side when the suspect fired multiple shots into Sesate’s vehicle.

Officers located Sesate a short time later on Eastway Drive. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is still there recovering.

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Honda with a sunroof and possibly a damaged or missing passenger side mirror

Police have not said what may have led to the shooting, but the investigation is ongoing.
