AMC Launches Subscription Service To Compete With MoviePass
Move over MoviePass. There’s a new ticket subscription service tonight.
Getting people into movie theaters has created a new industry based on how you buy movie tickets.
If you haven’t been to the movies in a while: ticket subscription services are now a thing and the playing field got more competitive on Wednesday.
AMC Theaters announced AMC Stubs A-list.
You pay less than $20 a month and you can see up to 3 movies a week.
The program kicks off Tuesday, June 26.
The theater chain is competing with another new service called MoviePass, which only costs less than $10 a month.
MoviePass lets you watch one movie a day, but doesn’t include 3D movies and you can’t see the same movie twice.
MoviePass also doesn’t offer free popcorn refills, AMC’s service does.
