CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police in Charlotte are investigating after two people were injured, one seriously, in a shooting after a warehouse party in southwest Charlotte Sunday morning.
Investigators say the shooting occurred in the warehouse of a business located at 7730 England Street, just before 1 a.m., on Sunday morning.
According to police, as the party was ending, a group of several males in the parking lot began shooting into the crowd and both victims were struck.
Arriving officers located one man who had been shot but had driven his vehicle a short distance from the scene before stopping. Β Medic transferred the victim to Carolinas Medical Center- Main with life-threatening injuries.
While CMPD officers were at the scene of the shooting on England street, a Trooper with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol pulled over a vehicle on I-77 near Clanton Road.Β Inside the vehicle was a female victim who had also been shot at the same location and was being driven to the hospital by other individuals who had also been at the party.Β She is being treated at Carolinas Medical Center- Main for a non-life threatening injury.
