Child Hit By Vehicle In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — A child was injured Tuesday afternoon after getting hit by a vehicle in east Charlotte.

The accident happened around 4:30pm on Farm Pond Lane at Albemarle Road. According to police on scene, the 8-year-old girl was hit after getting off the school bus in front of KinderCare Daycare.

CMS says the girl was on bus number 107, which was coming from Albemarle Road Elementary.

Medic says the child has minor injuries and was taken to CMC.

CMS asks drivers to continue to be alert throughout the summer, and watch out for school buses picking up and dropping off children in summer programs.
