CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Roughly 900 residents were without power in north Charlotte Friday morning, according to Duke Energy.
The electricity company says the outage happened just before 2 a.m. and was caused by a dump truck knocking down power lines on Old Statesville Road between Reames Road at Hucks Road.
The roads were blocked while crews worked to restore power.
Crews were able to fix the issues and power was restored shortly after 1pm.
