MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A large fire on Lake Norman has a family scrambling to get to safety on Thursday.
The fire happened overnight at a home on Hickory Hill Road in Mooresville.
Several firefighters from different departments have had a tough time putting out the flames that engulfed the home.
Crews had to bring in tankers since the neighborhood doesn’t have hydrants.
The family was able to escape the fire.
No word on how the fire started.
