Search Leads To Drug Bust In Burke County

CONNELLY SPRINGS, NC — An investigation in Burke County has led to the arrests of two suspects on multiple charges.

Detectives searched a home on Miller Bridge Road Thursday and say they found a large amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Two suspects were arrested at the home.

30-year-old Kasey Grindstaff is charged with two counts of Resist/Obstruct/Delay Public Officer, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt. Officials say Grindstaff initially tried to give detectives a false identification, but was later identified and arrested.

Andrew Cole, 20, was also arrested at the home for Felony Probation Violation.
