Joedance Film Festival Selection Reception

Joedance Film Festival will formally announce the feature and short films selected for the 2018 Festival at a free reception Sunday, July 15, 2018, 4-6 p.m., at Dandelion Market (118 W. 5thΒ Street) in Uptown Charlotte.
The event is free, with a cash bar. Food will be provided by Dandelion Market.
The 9th Annual Joedance Film Festival will be held Friday-Saturday, August 3-4. It honors the late Joe Restaino to raise awareness and funds for rare pediatric cancer research, specifically sarcomas, blastomas and brain tumors at Levine Childrenβs Hospital. Joedance also raises awareness of the local film industry by showcasing only films with a local connection.

Firefightersβ Pancake Breakfast

7th Street Public Market
Itβs time for the annual Firefightersβ Pancake Breakfast to benefit the N.C. Firefightersβ Burned Childrenβs Fund.
Charlotte firefighters will be cooking pancakes (plain or blueberry) for a suggested donation of $3 for kids and $5 for adults.
Firefighters will be serving pancakes from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. To-go boxes are available. All proceeds from the breakfast go directly to the N.C. Firefightersβ Burned Childrenβs Fund, which helps victims of all ages who have been seriously injured in fires.
Beverages and other breakfast items will be on sale inside the Market. Parking is available at the 7th Street Station deck, and parking is validated at the Market for up to 90 minutes. Customers can also use alternative transportation β the 7th Street Public Market is at the 7th street LYNX Light Rail stop and there is a Charlotte B-cycle station just outside.
